Empire High Atop The Charts

As we head into another week, we find Old Dominion climbing the country music charts with not just one, but two songs. One, I Was On A Boat That Day, is the song of the summer, at least in my head anyways! The other, I Can’t, is a collaboration with the ever prodigious singer-songwriter, Caitlyn Smith. IWOABTD, the commonly used acronym for I Was On A Boat That Day, is perched, eyeing the prize, at #15 on Mediabase http://www.mediabase.com/mmrweb/allaboutcountry/Charts.asp?format=C1R while I Can’t enters the top 40 at #40…pretty impressive to have two songs charting simultaneously.

Come hell or high water, IWOABTD and I Can’t will most certainly continue their ascent up the charts. With electric energy and a trajectory much like the band’s previous number one, One Man Band, IWOABTD will likely peak at #1, possibly sometime mid-fall if not sooner. And I, for one, Can’t wait.
