And I found you like a melody…

If you know anything about me, you know that I spend what most would consider an unhealthy amount of time on the internet…but that’s a blog for another time. Seeing as how today was no exception, I came across a great tweet posted by @volgirl4evr https://twitter.com/volgirl4evr/status/1415729344950018048?s=20 about when she knew her OD fandom was written in the stars. Well, of course you know I had to comment, minus the band tag because yeah, not my post, with when I knew I’d never be sorry for loving this band and their music.

At the time, I was, and still am, a fan of Sam Hunt. Sam just happened to be a supporting act on the 2016 Kenny Chesney Spread The Love Tour which amazingly enough was going to be hosted at Jordan-Hare Stadium, home of the Auburn University Tigers. Auburn is also my husband’s and my daughter’s alma mater, so this was a win-win and must see show. Much to my delight, Old Dominion was included in the line-up. Being a casual fan of the few songs I’d heard from them, I made sure that we got there early enough to see their set. Thankfully, I had been oblivious to Kenny tour-dom and plunked down a chunk of change for “seats” that were most certainly an actual sand bar, right? So wrong *insert chuckle emoji* So right up front we go…it goes without saying that within seconds of the opening chords of Snapback, you could not shut me up about how it was imperative for me to see them headline so I could hear “ALL OF THE SONGS” because obviously a handful would never be enough.

Needless to say that these five years since that pivotal day in my music fandom, OD has continued to paint the grass green with every single song they write, perform, record and release. And I have continued to go nowhere fast in my support, desired or not, of a group of five extremely talented guys who are friends and just happen to get to do what they love together with huge success.

Do you remember exactly when you knew you’d be dancing forever as an Old Dominion fan?
